Poster Guidelines
Uploading for On-Demand Viewing
For publishing purposes, the poster upload must be a PDF file at highest resolution possible.
- The aspect ratio (ratio of width to height) should ideally be set to ’16:9′
- The complete poster is limited to one slide only. That means one single page for your PDF file
- Fonts should be sans-serif (e.g., Arial, Calibri, etc.)
- Minimum font size should not be smaller than 12pt
Requirements for In-Person Posters
The in-person poster session at MLA ’25 will be held on Thursday, May 1, in the Hall of Exhibits. Plan to attend the session and stand near your poster during your assigned time (which will be announced in the speaker portal). Presenters can informally discuss their presentations with conference attendees and answer questions during the poster session.
- Your poster size should be no larger than 42” H x 68” W (Poster boards are 4-foot x 6-foot). For ease of mounting, we recommend a slightly smaller size, 42” H x 68” W
- In-person Poster session participants will have 42” H X 68” W to present their work with pictures, data, graphs, diagrams, narrative text and more
- Each poster board will hold one (1) 42” H x 68” W poster
Set-up and Removal
- Posters can be set up Wednesday, April 30, anytime from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., local time
- Boards will be numbered for setup. You can find your assigned number in the onsite program or on the app
- We will have push pins available for attaching to the boards. Folks have also used clamps, but we will not supply those, you will need to bring those if you prefer
- All posters should be removed on Friday, May 2, by 1:30 p.m.
- Posters not removed in time will be taken down and moved to MLA registration
- Any posters not picked up by the end of Friday, May 2, will be discarded
