MLA '21 Service Project: Community of Hope

 

The MLA '21 Local Assistance Committee identified Community of Hope as this years’ service project.

Community of Hope is a rapidly growing, innovative, and mission-driven nonprofit organization that provides housing, healthcare and supportive services for low-income families in Washington, DC. With a team of over 300 compassionate staff, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of donors, they are building a strong and sustainable organization that is caring for families, improving lives, and leading change.

Community of Hope works to improve health access and equity in Washington, DC and operates three community health centers, offering medical, dental, and emotional wellness as well as extensive patient supportive services. They also work to end and prevent family homelessness in Washington, DC and are the only nonprofit in DC providing all services along the homelessness continuum.
