Research Caucus Awards
MLA Meeting Poster and Paper Award
A $100 cash award is presented for 1st Place for both papers and posters. A $50 cash award is presented for 2nd Place for both papers and posters. If funds and quality of submissions warrant, additional awards may be made. A separate $100 cash award may be given for the highest quality research poster or paper presented by a hospital librarian at the annual meeting.
Poster and Paper Award Winners
Award for Best Biennial JMLA Research Paper
The award shall consist of a $100 cash award sponsored by MLA’s Research Caucus. The award will be given every other year, in even numbered years, as funds in the Research Section treasury permit.
The purpose of the award is to recognize the best high-quality peer-reviewed research paper by an MLA member author published in the two previous years in the Journal of the Medical Library Association (JMLA). (This award has no relationship with the Ida and George Eliot Prize granted annually by MLA.)
Annual Meeting Grant
Covers registration for two Research Caucus members.
Research Training Quality Award
Cash award given recognize quality training by library practitioners that focus on ‘skilling up’ librarians in an area of research practice.
Research Training Institute Award
Covers registration and travel expenses up to $2300 for one Research Caucus member accepted into the institute.
