Develop Searching Skills and Contribute to Health Equity: A New MLA Course

course image

If you are concerned about health equity and want to develop searching skills and knowledge that will enable you to become a collaborator and partner in health equity research, the MLA instructor-led course, Health Services and Policy Research: Sources and Search Strategies 2022, is for you.

Health Services and Policy Research (HSPR) is a rapidly growing research area that addresses medical justice, social determinants of health, and disparities in healthcare outcomes. Finding HSPR information takes you beyond commercial  and clinical databases into resources, databases, and grey literature that most health sciences librarians are unfamiliar with and which offer unique searching challenges. You’ll learn how to develop and execute multi-pronged strategies for locating information from government, think tank, and other sources that cannot be searched systematically. You’ll leave the course confident in your new searching skills and able to contribute to a rapidly growing area of health services research and policy. To learn more about the course and to register, see Health Services and Policy Research: Sources and Search Strategies 2022.
