Register for NAHSL's 64th Annual Conference

by Donna Belcinski, on behalf of NAHSL

North Atlantic Health Sciences Libraries (NAHSL) invites you to attend our 64th annual conference, Turning the Tide, in beautiful Portland, Maine on November 6-8, 2022.

This will be our first in-person multi-day conference since 2018, and amazingly, we are holding registration rates at 2018 prices! The NAHSL Executive Board reallocated unused scholarship funds to offset the registration costs to benefit us all. In addition, the lovely Westin Portland Harborview hotel is holding room rates at the originally-negotiated 2020 prices. With today’s high costs of food, lodging, gas, and everything else, we are thrilled to offer these pre-pandemic and pre-inflation rates.

Our line-up of speakers includes Dr. Blackford Middleton, from Closed Loop AI, Dr. Ivan Oransky from RetractionWatch, and Dr. Richard Kahn, medical historian.  Paper and poster presentations and lightning rounds will showcase the great work of our members and allow for sharing and networking. We will enjoy receptions, meals, and entertainment together. Continuing education opportunities will be offered on November 5.

As the turning of the tide moves from its lowest ebb to bring in new energy and a heightened level, this conference will help us reinvigorate and build up our work and our network.

Registration is open now! Make your hotel reservations now. Please visit the conference website for details and to check in regularly for updates. For more information about our association, please visit NAHSL

We look forward to seeing you in Portland, Maine this fall!
