Official Meeting Blogger: Sections

One of the hottest topics discussed at the Section meetings was the transition of the SIGs and Sections to caucuses. Members were curious about what the change would mean for the members. It means:

  1. More opportunities for diversity because members will not be limited to just one caucus.
  2. More leadership opportunities because everyone is heavily encouraged to become involved and be very active in the new openings provided by the transition.
  3. It allows for an update of the SIGs’ and Sections’ by-laws without the long and arduous process of red tape.
