MLA Annual Meeting Courses Are Powerful Learning Experiences!

mla19logo.jpgMLA ’19 offers you more than twenty continuing education (CE) courses and a daylong symposium about “Managing from the Middle.” CE takes place on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.

MLA CE courses are powerful and rewarding learning experiences! Of the participants who evaluated MLA ’18 courses, 93% found their course engaging or very engaging and would recommend it to their colleagues. The percentage who rated themselves competent or better in their course area increased from 36% to 62%.

This is just some of what participants said about MLA ’18 courses.

“I think I had a very different experience at MLA because of this CE. It drove me to engage in different ways, attend different meetings, and speak up differently than I probably would have otherwise—so thank you! Also, I’ve already made use of some of the resources, and started a reflective journal.”

“The instructors are so knowledgeable and clearly explain concepts and strategies!!”

“The course was very helpful in identifying useful websites to find clinical trials. It was exactly what I expected, and the bonus was the friendliness and approachability of the instructors.”

“I was not expecting all of the material to take home with me to practice. This is wonderful! Also wonderful instructors!!”

“This course was the best use of my time at MLA 2018. I enjoyed several great events, but by far this was the most useful and most fun I had this year!”

“Great instructors who were real experts!”

“This was a really great course! The instructor was beyond excellent; she was an engaging teacher and a consummate subject matter expert. This course should be in heavy rotation so that more people get the opportunity to take it.”

“This was a FANTASTIC course! It met my expectations and beyond because of the expertise of the instructors and the extent of activities that we can take away and use in teaching sessions at our own institutions. Day flew by!”

“Really good course. It was the highlight of the meeting for me.”

“The instructors were well-prepared and kept the class engaged through a mixture of instruction and exercise time. Their real world stories of how and why this is important were great at grabbing and keeping attention.”

“The instructor did a fabulous job of explaining EVERYTHING, AND it was fun :)”

“The presenter displayed a pronounced interest in her subject and was enthusiastic and engaged. The subject itself was very interesting and the complexity demanded the attention of the audience.”

“The presenters got everyone involved from the very beginning...who doesn’t want to share where they’re from?!? And it just got better from there...they had activities that we did in pairs of 2 and another one in 3’s. So it was great for networking as well.”

“Thank you for offering such useful and interesting classes that apply to my level and skill set.”

“Presenters and exercises were fantastic!!!”
