Call for Editors: MLAConnect Hub Editor Openings

MLAConnect is seeking two coeditors to cover the Clinical Support Hub. We are seeking dynamic MLA members who like to keep current with the profession and spread the word about research, special projects, resources, and more.

Hub editors are responsible for gathering and creating content from the caucuses that are of interest to the hub and larger MLA community. The weekly time commitment averages an hour a week. Articles are due from each editor about every eight weeks on a staggered four-week rotation. This three-year commitment allows the person to earn points toward membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals upon successful completion of service.

We are also recruiting for an editor for I Am MLA. I Am MLA has been featured in the weekly MLAConnect newsletter over the past couple of years. The I Am MLA editor’s role is to promote the recruitment of members to complete the form, lightly edit the completed forms, and arrange the publication schedule.

We are open to having additional editors with Information Management Hub, Global Health & Health Equity, and Innovation & Research Practice Hubs. There are opportunities to participate in the Press, Play, Connect podcast as well.

If you are interested in becoming an editor for MLAConnect, please reach out to christine.willis@choa.org. If you have questions, I will be glad to answer them.
