Course co-leads – Annie Thompson, EdD, MSLS and Karin Saric, MLIS both have 10+ years experience as liaison librarians and have lived experiences related to constant and significant organizational change.

Annie Thompson became interested in change and change management after experiencing significant organizational shifts and micro-changes in her environment. Navigating these challenges sparked a deeper curiosity about how individuals and teams adapt, and how environments influence well-being, motivation, and psychological safety. This ultimately led her to study these topics formally and earn her EdD in Organizational Change and Leadership.She has served in a leadership role at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles since 2015 and is currently the Head of the Norris Medical Library.

Karin Saric has an interest in underserved topics such as soft skills, wellness, behavioral change and how they impact professional environments. Working in an environment that has gone through significant changes in the last decade has brought about the need to constantly pivot and rethink how things are done. Choices made in response to ongoing change have led to the development of a skill set grounded in the need to remain flexible in order to continue providing relevant services in a constantly changing environment.
