Surveying the Professional Development Needs of MLA’s Mid-Level Managers

Submitted by: David Peterson

The MLA Rising Stars 25-26 cohort invites you to participate in a research study about the professional development needs of mid-level managers in MLA. The goal of this research study is to survey MLA members about their professional development needs and satisfaction with existing professional development offerings to make recommendations for enhancing MLA’s educational opportunities.

Participation in this study is voluntary. If you are eligible and decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey regarding professional development needs for mid-level managers and whether the current leadership educational opportunities meet those needs. It will take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. The survey is open February 2-20, 2026.

Take the Survey.

Eligibility: The survey is open to individuals who are MLA members who self-identify as a mid-level manager. If you have any questions about your eligibility, please contact David Petersen at dpetersen@utmck.edu.
