MLA Research Caucus Member Survey: Exploring the Needs of MLA Research Caucus Members

You are invited to participate in a research study about the membership of the MLA Research Caucus. We are hoping to gather data on what members appreciate in the caucus and what more we can offer to make membership more rewarding. This study is being conducted by members of the Research Caucus leadership: Lindsay Blake, Margaret Hoogland, Molly Montgomery, Martha Earl, Jonathan Eldredge, and Tara Brigham.

Participation: If you join, you will be asked to complete a survey that asks about your MLA Research Caucus experience. The survey should take about 5-10 minutes to complete. It is entirely up to you whether to join or to complete the survey. If you decide before you submit the survey that you don’t want to participate, just exit out of it before submitting.

Benefits: You will receive no direct benefits from participating in this research study. However, your responses may help us learn more.

Risks: There are no foreseeable risks involved in participating in this study other than those encountered in day-to-day life.

Confidentiality: The information you will share with us if you participate in this study will be kept completely confidential to the full extent of the law. Names, emails, and IP addresses will not be recorded keeping the survey completely anonymous. Study findings will be presented only in summary form at conferences or in publications. While the investigator(s) will keep your information confidential, there are some risks of data breaches when sending information over the internet that are beyond the control of the investigator(s).
