MLA Election: Your Voice Matters
The MLA Election opens on March 3, 2026, giving you the opportunity to help shape the future of our association by selecting its next leaders. Your vote ensures that MLA continues to reflect the priorities, perspectives, and needs of its members.
Reviewing the candidates and casting your ballot requires only a small time commitment, yet the impact is long-lasting. The members on this year’s slate have dedicated significant time and energy in service to MLA. Voting is a meaningful way to recognize commitment and to strengthen MLA’s leadership pipeline.
The Nominating Committee has prepared candidate information to ensure you have what you need to make thoughtful choices. On the ballot pages, you’ll find short videos from President-Elect candidates, written responses from Board candidates, and bios for Nominating Committee candidates. These resources are designed to help you make thoughtful choices, particularly if you haven’t had the chance to meet all candidates personally.
National and caucus-level ballots open at the same time, so you can complete all voting in one visit. This combined timeline makes participation easier and increases the likelihood that every member’s voice is included in the process.
You will receive an email when the election opens next week, including a link to your ballot on MLANET. Voting is electronic and anonymous. MLA will know whether you voted, not how you voted.
Your participation plays a vital role in shaping MLA’s direction during a time of ongoing change, uncertainty, and opportunity. Thank you for engaging in this important process. Your voice matters, and your involvement strengthens our community.
