Medical Librarians Mentioned as a Potential Partner from ACCME Post

Submitted by: Karen Price

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has a spotlight post on Identifying Potential Partners. Physicians, medical librarians, public health officials, and quality improvement (QI) teams are four potential partners that can assist continuing medical education providers with applying for Accreditation with Commendation.

Librarians are key partners that, “…can locate evidence that helps you understand the unique health needs of your community and that supports your educational goals.”

I want to thank my colleague Sandie Manning, MAEd, Associate Director of CME and Pharmacy at Wake Area Health Education Center (Wake AHEC), for including medical librarians as a key resource for working with continuing medical education professionals in achieving their accreditation, reaccreditation, or accreditation with commendation goals.
