Thank you for your willingness to serve as a leader within MLA. We deeply appreciate your commitment and are pleased to invite you to attend our upcoming Leaders’ Orientation sessions.

If you are currently serving or preparing to serve as an MLA leader in the role of chair or chair-designate we warmly encourage your participation in these sessions, designed to support and inspire you as you prepare for the year ahead. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to specific leadership roles and will provide practical guidance for your leadership while also creating opportunities for collaboration that enhance our collective work and strengthen our leadership teams to advance the mission and impact of our association.

  • Committee and Task Force LeadersJune 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., central time
  • Community and Chapter Council Leaders, including Caucuses – Scheduled for later this summer in collaboration with council chairs
  • Jury Chairs – Scheduled for later this summer in collaboration with the Awards and Grants & Scholarships Committee chairs

By gathering leaders in role-specific sessions, we aim to cultivate deeper conversations, share best practices, and spark creative strategies that help our communities and committees thrive.

Whether you are new to your role or a seasoned MLA leader, your voice and perspective are essential and valuable in enriching the conversation through your insights, and forward-thinking ideas.
