Submissions of virtual projects may demonstrate either the implementation of a new technology or a new application of an older technology. These projects should demonstrate how health sciences libraries have leveraged technology to manage or create new collections or services to improve user communities. Examples of current technology trends of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI)
  • Digital support for inclusion & accessibility
  • Coding or programming applications
  • Hybrid or online teaching
  • Data-related services

Review previous Virtual Projects published in past October issues of JMLA from 2012 through 2023. 2024 Virtual Projects appeared in the April 2024 and 2025 issues.

Unsure if your project aligns with Virtual Projects? Ask us! Reach out to Virtual Projects Section Editor, Brandon Patterson at b.patterson@utah.edu for help with the submission.
