Interested in strengthening your research skills, developing a research project, or simply finding out whether MLA’s Research Training Institute (RTI) Fellowship Program is right for you?

Join us on Tuesday, November 17, from 1:00–2:00 p.m., central time, for an information session about the RTI Fellowship Program. We’ll introduce you to the program, walk through the application process, and share what you can gain from the year-long fellowship experience.

What Can RTI Do for You?

MLA’s Research Training Institute Fellowship Program is designed to help participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to independently conduct or lead high-quality research projects. The year-long virtual program provides training and hands-on experience across the stages of developing, implementing, and communicating a health information research project.

Through the RTI Fellowship Program, you’ll have opportunities to:

  • Build a set of research skills, from developing effective research questions and selecting an appropriate research design to collecting and analyzing data and communicating your findings.
  • Gain hands-on experience implementing a research project.
  • Strengthen your ability to discuss research and scholarship with faculty, researchers, and other colleagues at your institution.
  • Develop the confidence and skills to pursue research ideas that can transform your library and enhance your professional profile.
  • Build expertise that can help you publish and present your research.
  • Learn from researchers, work with a mentor and small mentor group, and connect with a cohort of fellow librarians.
  • Earn continuing education credit and an RTI Fellow Certificate upon successful completion of the fellowship.
  • Become part of a network of RTI Fellows and researchers who can continue to support your growth.
