Breaking News: NLM Returns to MLA ’26

The 2026 National Program Committee is thrilled to announce the return of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) Update for MLA ’26 in Milwaukee.

Join us for the Closing Plenary session on Friday, May  22, 2026, 3:00-4:30 p.m. NLM will provide an update highlighting how intentional collaboration, shared expertise, and sustained partnerships are shaping the future of health information access.

The 2026 NLM Update will feature presentations by Dianne Babski, Director of the User Services and Collection Division at the National Library of Medicine, Ken Koyle, Acting Director of the Network of the National Library of Medicine, and Lisa Federer, Acting Director of the Office of Strategic Initiatives.

Dianne and Ken will discuss how NLM and NNLM are partnering to strengthen services, reach new audiences, and use emerging technologies to support a dynamic health information environment grounded in mutual learning and collective impact. Lisa will provide an overview of upcoming NLM strategic planning activities and timelines.
