Serving as MLA president offers a meaningful perspective on the impressive work done by our members. Many initiatives support their professional development, while others advance the association’s goals. It has been a privilege to gain a deeper understanding of our members’ endeavors this year.

I am honored to share the 2026 recipients of the MLA President’s Award.

• Christine Willis, AHIP, for her service as Editor of MLA Connect for over 7 years.
• Kate Flewelling, for her transformation of the role of MLA Treasurer, especially concerning the restructuring of MLA’s awards and endowments.
• AAHSL/MLA Joint Legislative Committee, for their continued efforts supporting the integrity of health information and funding for health research.
