MLA leaders are required to report the key achievements, actions, and activities of their MLA community, including those related to DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). This includes:
- allied representatives
- appointed officials
- caucus chairs
- chapter presidents/chairs
- committee chairs
- task force chairs
Note: Juries do not submit reports here. They report activities to the Awards and the Grants & Scholarship Committees.
Midyear Reports:
- Due in mid-October each year.
- Reports should provide a brief update on activities since the spring annual report. Collect report information in a document and copy to the submission form.
- Executive Summary – 6 bullet points, 800 character total limit
- In what ways have the initiatives or activities over the past six months contributed to addressing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)?
- Reports will be shared with the Board of Directors at their November meeting.
Annual Reports:
- Due in late-March each year,
- Reports should highlight the top achievements, actions, and activities of the community since the last annual report. Collect report information in a document and copy to the submission form.
- Executive Summary – 6 bullet points, 800 character total limit
- In what ways have initiatives or activities over the past six months contributed to addressing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)?

- Facts and Data
- People Update
- Leadership Roster
- Reports will be shared with the Board of Directors at their May meeting.
- Annual reports become part of the association’s permanent record.
- Previous annual reports (1980-present) are available in the members-only file library on MLANET.
- Older reports are archived at the National Library of Medicine.
