Teach with MLA: Final Deadline Is August 29
MLA is searching for passionate educators like you to help us grow the skills of medical librarians and health information professionals. Whether you’re leading in AI, rethinking resource evaluation, or championing onboarding success—we want to hear your ideas.
Courses should align with MLA’s professional competencies. We welcome proposals for virtual sessions throughout the year and in-person offerings at MLA ’26 in Milwaukee, WI. MLA offers honorariums and full support from our team.
Here are some topics members are asking to hear more about:
- AI Literacy & Education – foundational courses on using AI in health sciences libraries, including AI basics with an emphasis on AI literacy for librarians and researchers, including how to teach it to others.
- Library Leadership and Management – topics around strategic planning, team leadership, succession planning, and change management.
- Evaluating library resources – Evaluating library services, e-resource usage, impact assessment, scholarly communication, and evidence-based library services.
Please note that the Education: Curriculum Committee will thoroughly review all proposals that address MLA’s core competencies, including, but not limited to, those listed above.
This is your final chance to submit a proposal, so don’t miss out! The deadline to apply is August 29, 2025. If you’re ready to inspire others, submit your proposal today.
