MLA ’24 Designer Wins Silver MUSE Award

While the National Program Committee (NPC) for each MLA conference selects speakers, contributed content, and theme, it’s the design experts in MCI that contribute their talent to translate theme to design and overall brand for the conference.

We’re delighted to celebrate Aubrey Dockery, our MLA ’24 designer, for her silver MUSE award win for Corporate Identity-Brand Identity for the MLA ’24 Brand Guidelines. With the entry, MCI noted “The Medical Library Association (MLA), a key player in the health information sector, annually hosts a conference that is a nexus for learning, networking, and innovation. This event is a beacon for professionals seeking to exchange knowledge, forge new relationships, and draw inspiration from leaders in health information.”

Our branding captures the vibrant essence of Portland, Oregon, while also reflecting the rich offerings of the MLA. The theme “Stronger Together” highlights the synergy of teamwork in advancing both individual and collective aspirations within the field.

The logo we’ve created is a visual representation of Portland’s dynamic offerings and the serene backdrop of the forests, lake, and Mount Hood, symbolizing the city’s natural allure. Our style guide serves as the cornerstone of our brand’s identity, ensuring every visual touch point aligns with the spirit of Portland and the MLA’s vision. The digital graphics are designed to be distinctive and captivating, embodying the essence of both Portland and the core facets of the conference.”

MUSE Creative Awards recognizes the best achievements from advertising to digital media, as well as in marketing strategies and PR communications. Entrants from all corners of the world participate, showcasing creative advertising, design, and campaigns that inspire and set new benchmarks in the industry.
