Leadership at All Levels Strategic Goal Task Force
Lead the efforts related to the Leadership at All Levels Strategic Goal to strengthen the leadership capabilities of health information professionals at every career stage—including middle managers, established leaders, and emerging talents—by equipping them with the skills necessary to navigate both operational and strategic challenges.
Key Focus Areas
- Strategic Thinking Development: Cultivating the ability to balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with long-term visionary leadership.
- Soft Skills Mastery: Enhancing collaboration, goal-setting, and effective communication to foster stronger leadership.
- Team Management Effectiveness: Strengthening delegation skills, strategic oversight, and team motivation to improve organizational performance.
- Addressing Workforce Challenges: Tackling critical industry issues such as the “enrollment cliff” and workforce gaps by reinforcing the value of leadership and management within the profession.
The task force consists of members and non-members:
- 6 to 10 members-at-large who serve a three-year term.
- 1 chair serving a three-year term and member of the association.
- Director of Professional Development as ex-officio member.
