Cast Your Vote in the 2024 MLA Election

Your vote counts! The MLA Nominating Committee invites all association members to cast their vote in the upcoming 2024 election. The election is an excellent way to let your voice be heard and help shape MLA’s future. The 2024 Medical Library Association election will open on March 4, 2024, and run through March 18, 2024. As in previous years, the MLA national-level and caucus-level elections will run concurrently.

The election will take place using an electronic ballot via the MLANET website. On March 4, 2024, members will receive an email containing the link to the election ballot (Login-required). Voting will be completely anonymous; MLA will only know if a member voted, not how a member voted.

At the national level, members will have the opportunity to vote for the following open positions:

  • President-elect: one position
  • Board of Directors: two positions
  • Nominating Committee: nine positions

You can learn more about the candidates running for national-level positions by visiting MLANET starting March 4, 2024. The recording for the Meet the Candidates Forum (President-Elect and Board of Directors) will be available on the vConnections page on MLANET. In addition, background information and photos for each candidate will also be available on MLANET.

Members can access their personalized election page by logging into their MLANET profile during the election period.
