The 2023-24 Nominating Committee is identifying potential candidates for the 2024 MLA Election. Please complete the nomination form if you would like to recommend a colleague to serve as president, on the board of directors, or to be considered yourself. Be sure to provide as much information as possible about why the recommended person would make an outstanding candidate. Consider viewing Article IV of the MLA Bylaws to review a description of duties for the MLA President and Board of Directors roles.
The committee considers professional and leadership experience, involvement in MLA, and representation across the geographic regions and the diverse communities that comprise the association's membership.
A description of the procedure for selecting candidates and electing the MLA president-elect and members of the MLA Board can be found in Article V of the MLA Bylaws (see About MLA, then Organization). Among the slate of candidates, at least two will run for president-elect, and at least four will seek two open board membership positions on the MLA Board.
Nominations must be submitted by October 26, 2023. Your contribution to identifying our future leaders is greatly appreciated!
