On June 1, 2020, the African American Medical Librarians Alliance (AAMLA) Caucus released a statement about police brutality and systemic racism and violence. We at the Pacific Northwest Chapter of MLA (PNC/MLA) fully support and stand in solidarity.

The 56th annual meeting of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of MLA (PNC/MLA) was held in Boise, Idaho, from October 27–29, 2019. The theme was “Reaching Out: Creating Connections,” and the conference poster featured otters, because PNC/MLA recently voted to have an otter as our mascot!

The 55th annual meeting of the PNC of MLA was held in Spokane, WA, this past fall, with the theme “Translate, Transform, Transcend.” It was the first time this meeting had been held in Spokane since 1987, and planning committee members were excited to share the city with with PNC members.
