University of Minnesota Health Sciences Libraries: The University of Minnesota Libraries seeks a forward-looking and creative academic professional to join the Health Sciences Libraries (HSL), led by the director and associate university librarian for the health sciences. We are looking for an individual who shares our values of knowledge, openness, service, collaboration, and diversity, and who thrives in a learning organization that fosters creativity and innovation. The position reports to the associate director for education and research services. The successful candidate will be 1 of 3 liaisons assigned to the Medical School and will collaborate with colleagues in HSL as well as across the libraries.
Required: Qualifications include an American Library Association–accredited master’s degree in library/information science OR equivalent combination of advanced degree and relevant experience; experience in a health sciences or academic research library; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to take initiative and actively engage with faculty and students; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a research-intensive environment; and ability to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities.
