Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Sciences Center–New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) invites nominations and applications for the position of director of libraries. The director of libraries, in collaboration with the vice chancellor for academic affairs, develops the vision for library services and the strategic plan for the library aligned with the mission of the university. The director leads all activities for planning, directing, and evaluating the services and resources of the Ische’ Library and the Dental Library of LSU Health Sciences Center–New Orleans. The ideal candidate for the position will possess a master’s degree from an American Library Association–accredited program with at least 5 years’ in a library leadership role. Experience obtained in a health sciences library, eligibility for membership in the MLA Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP), and a second master’s degree or doctoral degree (PhD) are desired qualifications and credentials.
