PNC-MLA Health Equity and Diversity Speaker Series is a collaboration between NNLM Region 5 and PNC-MLA through the efforts of its Diversity Committee. This series features expert guest speakers presenting on topics pertaining to health equity and diversity. Learning Objectives

  • Recognize health inequities and apply strategies for advancing equity in diverse communities
  • Examine the definitions, history, languages, customs, experiences, and health disparities of diverse communities including their relationship to healthcare.
  • Apply the recommended resources to continue educating yourself, your peers, and the healthcare community on health equity and social justice issues
  • Identify NLM and MLA resources to use to find additional information on relevant topics

Agenda

Each session will begin with a 7 minute presentation about the NNLM.

The remaining time will be devoted to the guest speaker and Q&A.

An evaluation link will be provided to all participants at the end of the session.
