Introduction to Cultural Humility – SCC Chapter Meeting

To be held virtually, part of the SCC Annual Meeting on 11/04/2024.

In this training session, participants will explore how using a lens of cultural humility can help them to become a better colleague and provider of library services to patrons. We will look at the connections between cultural humility and explore the three pillars of cultural humility. At the end of this webinar you will be empowered to begin your journey of cultural humility and explore ways you can use the model of cultural humility in your library with colleagues and patrons.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Define differences between cultural humility and cultural competence
• Name or list three ways to implement cultural humility in your interactions with colleagues
• Name or list three ways to implement cultural humility in your interactions with patrons
