Mark your calendars; the upcoming HLC Annual Business Meeting will take place on Monday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m., central time. MLA members are invited to join via Zoom using the following information (login required to view):

We are thrilled to announce that the HLC LibGuide Committee has been honored with the 2025 MLA Caucus Project of the Year Award. This recognition celebrates the launch of our updated and enhanced LibGuide in October 2025, now easily accessible from the HLC homepage on MLANET. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this achievement.

Over the past year, HLC held bi-monthly meetings open to all MLA members, featuring business updates and social programming. HLC also partnered with the Collection Development Caucus to co-host two forums: one on October 9, 2025, focused on budgets and budget reductions, and another on March 12, 2026, addressing collection development policies.

Additional 2025 activities included an online costume contest and a journal club. In 2026, we organized a well-attended meeting focused on MLA specializations and AHIP membership, and hosted our annual “Why I Love Being a Hospital Librarian” event in time for St. Valentine’s Day. We appreciate your continued engagement and look forward to your participation in upcoming meetings.
