Gaming in Adult Learning Caucus

Purpose

To develop a community of librarians who have an interest in using games of learning as an enhancement to their programs. This caucus provides a forum that addresses the challenges and special needs required to develop games of learning for adults. The caucus also aims to support the use of gaming methods for librarians to use to effectively engage their learners. The caucus will also provide a forum to support members in further developing these modes of teaching and learning, making games of learning easier to implement and support through shared knowledge and practice.

Members of this caucus will:

  1. Share research about effective methods in Gaming in Adult Learning.
  2. Discuss gaming in adult learning that are specific to health sciences education.
  3. Share techniques on developing quality games of learning and how to measure impact.
  4. Promote Gaming as a highly effective tool to engage the learner
