Registration Information

Registration for the MLA '21 vConference is open! Register by May 3, 2021 to ensure you receive information about the conference ahead of the opening session on May 10.

I did like the vConference and would be in favor of more. Not only is it convenient but it was cost effective.


Registration Packages

Full vConference Registration

Includes access to all presentations, posters, keynotes, plenaries, exhibits, and social and networking events. Institutional members and nonmembers may purchase registration packages for multiple staff.

  • Exclusive online access to meeting content through May 2022.
  • All on-demand sessions will be available online on opening day, May 10.
  • The virtual exhibits and exhibitor sessions will be available beginning May 19.

Exhibits Plus

Includes admission to the virtual Exhibits Hall, Product Showcases, exhibitor information, and exhibitor presentations (including on-demand access to recordings after the vConference).

  • Option #1: You are an MLA member. Register online and you will have access to rates that match your membership category.

I think the MLA staff and the [National Program Committee] 2020 did a phenomenal job and I'm very impressed with the way they flipped the conference. I liked the price and I thought it was a great option.

Rates For Institutions

Support your staff by providing them full access to the MLA '21 vConference. Pricing rules are as follows:

  • Volume pricing ("institutional")
    • 5-pack: 20% discount (5 for the price of 4)
    • 10-pack: 30% discount (10 for the price of 7)
    • 15-pack (new): 40% discount (15 for the price of 9)
    • 20-pack: 50% discount (20 for the price of 10)
    • We can accommodate extra registrants beyond each package. Use registration option #2 below.
  • Non-member: 30% surcharge from Member Regular rate
  • Your membership category will determine options available.

How to Register as an Institution

  • Option #1: You are the official representative of the institution and will attend. Register online and we'll send you a code to enable your staff to register individually.
  • Option #2: Not the official representative, or not an institutional member and need an invoice? Email Kate Corcoran with your choice and we'll create an invoice for you. After we receive your payment, we'll send instructions with a code for all your staff to register.

Payment

When you register, an invoice is created for you. You can pay immediately or defer payment if a check or wire transfer is coming from your institution. Payment should be received by May 3 to ensure you have access to all vConference sessions. You may pay by check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover, or via wire transfer/electronic payment. Payments must be in US dollars and free of bank charges. Payment details are on the invoice.

If you are an MLA member and your institutional payment may not arrive in time, please contact us ahead of the vConference to obtain access. Payments not received by June 25, 2020, will be charged a $50 late fee.

When you generate your registration invoice, you have the option to review and select electronic/wire transfer information. Please make sure the invoice number or name of the attendee is included with the wire transfer to ensure credit is applied properly.

Special Services

If you have a disability or need special services to participate fully in the MLA ’21 vConference, please include a written description of your needs on your registration or indicate how you would like us to contact you to discuss your needs. MLA must receive the information by April 2, 2021 to ensure we can contract for any special services ahead of the vConference.

Cancellations

All cancellations for vConference registration must be submitted in writing and emailed to Jim Westwood at westwood@mail.mlahq.org.

vConference cancellations must be received by May 3, 2021. Once you cancel, you will not have access to any meeting content except the schedule of events.

After May 3, MLA will provide refunds only for documented medical emergencies. Refunds will be processed within 8 weeks after the meeting. MLA will honor email requests to transfer meeting registration.
