MLA '20 Continuing Education (CE)
MLA '20 Continuing education (CE) courses in Portland, OR, will support health sciences librarians and other information professionals in adapting to rapidly changing environments, transforming their collections and service models, and leading important new changes in education, research and librarianship. Courses are listed by date with course numbers corresponding to the professional competencies for health sciences librarians. The course roster and full course descriptions will be available by early November.
- CE courses will take place on Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16, 2020.

Bring Your Own Device
These courses require attendees to bring a laptop computer or other device with WiFi capability to participate in interactive activities.
Hands-on Computer Courses
All hands-on computer courses will be held at an offsite facility in Portland and not at the Oregon Convention Center. The facility will be named in the Official Program. If necessary, transportation to the facility will be provided. Hands-on courses are marked as part of the course description with the hand and keyboard icon.
Registration and Fees
Registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis, and we do not maintain waiting lists. You do not have to register for the meeting to register for courses. Room assignments will be in the Official Program and in the Online Program Planner. Registration will open January 2020.
Student Fees, Course Cancellation Policy
- Student fee per CE course, for MLA student members only (pending available space): $50.
- Cancellation or course change fee: $50 per course (see the registration area for refund policy and deadlines).
Participant handouts for CE courses will be made available electronically only, for you to print out in advance or view during the course on your own devices. MLA will send out a confirmation prior to the CE course if you are required to print or bring your own handouts.
