All eBooks added to a collection seamlessly combine to create a customizable database, enabling librarians to build collections based on their institutional needs. Librarians have multiple options for starting an R2 Digital Library collection.
Rittenhouse offers first-time customers a free trial to test out the numerous tools and features available on the platform. Librarians can browse specially curated lists of titles, gather usage statistics, and make informed purchasing decisions on what eBooks their patrons need once the trial has ended.
Upon purchase, eBooks are immediately accessible with perpetual access. The eBook database also offers a unique Patron Driven Acquisition (PDA) model – with no automatic or required purchase – to enable users to inform collection development decisions.
