MLA '22 Service Project: Second Harvest

On behalf of the LAC (Local Assistance Committee) and the NPC (National Program Committee) and in light of the latest natural disaster in New Orleans (tornadoes on March 22), we have chosen to support a local group that supports the New Orleans community during times like these.

 We've chosen the Second Harvest Food Bank as the MLA '22 Service Project:  https://no-hunger.org/mla 

From their website: 

  • Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans was founded in 1982 by Archbishop Philip M. Hannan, Bishop Roger P. Morin, and Gregory Ben Johnson, Director of the Social Apostolate of the Archdiocese.
  • Second Harvest Food Bank leads the fight against hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response.

 We hope you will support Second Harvest, as you are able to do so, as they support Southern Louisiana as well as New Orleans in particular. Make your donation today and support an effective nonprofit that helps the community we will be visiting.
