Announcing Peer Coaches for the 2022 Research Training Institute

The Research Training Institute (RTI) team is pleased to announce the new peer coaches for the 2022 RTI Online program: John Bourgeois, Amelia Brunskill, Margaret Hoogland, Elisabeth Nylander, and Liz Suelzer. Each coach is not only a successful researcher but is also enthusiastic about continuing to learn from and contribute to the RTI community.

RTI’s peer coaches reflect diverse backgrounds and experiences and are selected from previous RTI Fellow graduates. Each is assigned to a mentor group and supports the RTI program by sharing their experiences, offering encouragement, celebrating wins, and helping the participants achieve their unique research goals. Peer coaches provide support throughout the year-long research process and enrich the RTI experience for the participants.

While RTI piloted the peer coaching program for the current RTI program participants, the feedback has been so overwhelmingly positive that the program is offering it again for the 2022 program participants. The current RTI '21 peer coaches (Hilary Jasmin, Laura Menard, Robin O'Hanlon, Natasha Williams, and Ying Zhong) have become an indispensable part of the RTI learning experience.

The peer coaching program has fostered meaningful professional growth opportunities for the peer coaches and at the same time has provided authentic, engaging, and high-quality learning experiences for our participants.

Learn more about the RTI program. Consider joining a welcoming and supportive network of research colleagues! We invite you to submit an RTI application by January 12!

RTI program leaders are offering drop-in sessions to assist you with your RTI application. Sign up today for sessions on December 10 and 15.
