MLA Osteopathic Libraries Caucus Statement

The Osteopathic Libraries Caucus comprises librarians and library personnel from osteopathic institutions across the United States. We recognize the inherent dignity and equality of all people and condemn racism. In light of current events, we feel compelled to recognize that the inherent racial inequality that is experienced every day by Black Americans, including racially targeted police brutality, is deeply damaging to our society as a whole.

The Osteopathic Libraries Caucus stands in full support of the statement released by MLA, which encompasses the collective thought of our association. We stand in full support of the African American Medical Librarians Alliance (AAMLA) Caucus and the respective caucus voices that have proactively released statements, which are affirmed therein.
