Chapter News: Join Us at the 2018 UNYOC/MLA Annual Meeting!

unyoc_meeting.jpgThe Upstate New York and Ontario Chapter of MLA (UNYOC/MLA) invites you to attend our 2018 Annual Meeting, “Crossing Borders: Breaking Boundaries!” The meeting is taking place at the Queen’s Landing hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, Canada, November 14–16, 2018.

There is a half-day continuing education opportunity on Wednesday afternoon, “Peeking Under the Hood: Understanding, Assessing, and Improving Your Library’s Website and LibGuides,” which will be taught by Susanna Galbraith and Andy Hickner. Conference speakers will discuss the humanity of medicine and the humanities in medicine; suicide risk factors, warning signs, and preventive measures; and library services and employer readiness for individuals with autism. Members will also present papers, lightning talks, and posters. Submissions are being accepted until August 24, 2018!
