The 2019 Midwest Chapter/MLA, Wisconsin Health Science Library Association, and the Southeastern Wisconsin Health Sciences Libraries Consortium meeting is a wrap! Our conference turnout exceeded expectations with 118 attendees, continuing education (CE) instructors, and presenters.

As you may have learned , MLA has developed the specifications of a new EFTS platform. MLA will proceed with actual development and implementation if a minimum of 750 users sign up for the new platform. As of yesterday, we have surpassed the 60% mark of library requests to receive a user agreement.

MLA has developed the specifications of a new Electronic Funds Transfer System (EFTS) platform. MLA will proceed with actual development and implementation if a minimum of 750 users sign up for the new platform by January 10, 2020, to “crowdfund” it.

For the past three years, the RTI has been funded by the IMLS. We were very grateful to have this funding, but in July 2020, this funding will come to an end. Even though IMLS support is ending, MLA is committed to continuing this successful learning model that educates health sciences librarians
