May 4th is Star Wars Day! There are a couple of New Orleans events celebrating the day.
Do you want to hang out with the Krewe of Chewbacchus (the all-things-nerdy organization/parade)? They will be at Urban South Brewery for May the Fourth with The Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus. The event starts at 6pm and is open to the public. There doesn’t appear to be a cover charge and there will be live music by the Browncoat Brass Band. More information on Facebook.
Another option is the May the Fourth Be With You Nerd Event at Zony Mash Beer Project from 6pm-9pm. This event is advertising kids craft projects and a screening of the original 1977 Star Wars: A New Hope. They also mention that a food truck will be on-site for the event.
