Join NNLM for a webinar series that features guest speakers who have expertise working in the substance use disorders field. The Substance Use Disorders webinar series will address the NNLM priority of environmental determinants of health (including both the natural and built environment) and substance use disorder on both a national and regional level. This series focuses on substance use disorders and how it intersects with topics such as mental health, access to health care, rural/urban health, health advocacy, housing, tribal health, prevention, and socio-economic aspects of health.

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine the intersection of substance use disorder and environmental determinants of health (natural and built environments) on both national and regional levels.
  • Explore the relationship between substance use disorder and various health-related topics, such as mental health, access to healthcare, rural/urban health, tribal health, housing, prevention, and socio-economic factors.
  • Promote awareness and advocacy for health equity and prevention in relation to substance use disorder within diverse communities, focusing on health disparities and access issues.
