This course, developed for the editorial board of the Journal of the Medical Library Association offers theoretical frameworks as well as practical tools to help make the scholarly publishing process more equitable and reflective of diverse experiences and epistemologies. The course contextualizes scholarly communications practices, norms, and processes within broader systems that influence it and lead to differential outcomes for people from racialized, minoritized, and otherwise marginalized populations. Resources are suggested for further exploration and to help build on and expand the learning that all are invited to partake in through this course. Â
