We Hope to See You at MLA ’17 in Seattle

MLA17_LOGO_300X300.jpgThere is still time to register for MLA ’17. Attend the annual meeting in Seattle and be inspired by the outstanding featured speakers including Julie Angus, Julia F. Sollenberger, AHIP, FMLA, Patty Brennan, and Hope Jahren. Among the new sessions this year, be sure to attend the special open forum, “Activism in a Time of Turbulence,” to be held Sunday, May 28. Librarians have a long history of advocating for openness, transparency, and access to high-quality research. Join us as we discuss how MLA as an organization and you as members can affect government decision making in the area of health information.

MLA offers more than twenty continuing education courses on Friday and Saturday before MLA ’17 beings. Topic areas include expert searching, research design, bibliometrics, marketing, consumer health, systematic reviews, evidence-based medicine and evidence-based practice, and a symposium on the role of librarians in the reproducibility of research. Sessions fill up quickly so register now!
