Due to COVID 19, these tours have been cancelled, please visit virtually by checking out the websites for the these two libraries.

Are you looking for a fun and informative activity with fellow librarians while in Portland for MLA ’20 in May? The 2020 Local Assistance Committee has got you covered.

Join us for a tour of the libraries at the National University of Natural Medicine and the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with an optional lunch at one of many of Portland’s famous food truck parks or visit the Lan Su Chinese Garden.

Each location will provide a tour, an opportunity to learn about the unique aspects of librarianship in integrative medicine, and a chance to see some of the unique materials in their collections.

When: Saturday, May 16, from 9:15 a.m.–noon, starting at the Hilton Portland Downtown lobby (921 SW Sixth Avenue).

Space is limited to twenty people. Please let us know if you need access to an elevator. If you have questions about the tour prior to signing up, ask Carolyn Martin, AHIP.

How to sign up: Please use the SignUpGenius link to put your name on this limited space tour. Please update it if you decide not to attend as our hosts are making special efforts to plan these tours, and we want to be respectful of their time. If fewer than 3 people sign up, we will cancel the tour. Deadline to sign up is Friday, May 8, at 3:00 p.m., pacific time.
