Seattle is one of those cities that is beautiful from any direction – including from above. If you’re lucky you’ll fly into Seattle from the east at sunset – this will take you past the glowing summit of Mt. Rainier and then you’ll fly over downtown where you’ll see reflections of sky, sea and mountains.
Want to go for a spin? Just head down to the waterfront and hop on the Seattle Great Wheel, a giant Ferris wheel right on the edge of the Bay. Beautiful views across the water toward Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Peninsula await.
If you’re not afraid of heights, check out the view of Seattle from 520 feet up the iconic Space Needle. You’ll be able to glimpse two mountain ranges, multiple lakes, Elliott Bay and the Puget Sound. If you want a real treat, visit the rotating restaurant.
Want to go even higher? How about a view of Seattle from the Sky View Observatory located on the 73rd floor of the Columbia Tower in the heart of downtown. Panoramic views bring you a feel for the local geography, highlighting the islands that dot the water and the valleys and lakes that run to the east.
Want the birds’ eye view? Sign up for a charter around Seattle with Kenmore Air located along the shores of Lake Union. Take off on your adventure is a sea plane. Explore the city and the Lake Union area before skimming the roofs of Amazon headquarters to land back on the Lake.
However daring you are, there is an opportunity to take in the amazing views of Seattle and the surrounding area.
