Systematic Review Caucus Official Statement Against Acts of Violence and Hate

This statement reflects the opinion of the Systematic Review Caucus of MLA and does not necessarily reflect the official position of the Medical Library Association (MLA).

The Systematic Review Caucus of the Medical Library Association would like to add to previous statements made by MLA Caucuses to condemn all acts of violence and hate against marginalized communities and communities of color.

We support our colleagues of color and stand in solidarity with them. There is no place for hate or violence and as members of the Systematic Review Caucus we will not tolerate these acts in any form. We support efforts to disrupt discrimination, microaggressions, racism or hate within our professional communities.

As members of the Systematic Review Caucus, we commit:

  • To see, hear, include and appreciate the unique voices, experiences and perspectives that our colleagues of color bring and encourage these voices to be present and engage with them
  • To encourage and share opportunities to increase diversity, equity and inclusion within our caucus and our profession, as well as support bystander educational opportunitie
