You will notice at MLA ’18 that the Scholarship Booth has been retired. MLA appreciates the membership’s support of the booth throughout the years, both as booth volunteers and “shoppers.” While the store-style fundraising booth was enjoyable, in recent years, it had not met its goals of raising funds for MLA scholarships. The good news is that many booth activities are still available throughout the meeting. So, stop by the MLA Connections Booth to say hello and network with your colleagues. While there, you can make your annual donation to the Scholarship Fund, preview MLA books, speak out on diversity and inclusion in MLA, and ask any burning questions you might have about the Academy of Health Information Professionals. MLA and academy pins will be available for purchase at the MLA Connections Booth.
You can find FREE fun meeting ribbons to brighten up your badge at the MLA ’19 booth in the Hall of Exhibits. Jazzy MLA ’18 mugs will be given out during the Silver and Gold Networking Dinner on Tuesday night. If you are not able to be at the dinner, additional mugs will be available after the meeting through MLA headquarters. Feel free to contact Maria Lopez with any questions.
