Submit Your Questions for Evidence-Based Librarianship Immersion Session at MLA | SLA 2023

Join us in Detroit during MLA | SLA 2023 for an immersion session called, “Understanding and Applying the Evidence-Base in Library and Information Science” sponsored by the Clinical Librarians and EBP, Research, Medical Library Education, and Public Health/Health Administration Caucuses. The goals of the session are to stimulate evidence-based practice, practice translating a project into a research question, and ultimately increasing the body of evidence in library and information science. This session will consist of both didactic and small group discussions.

In advance of the session, we are soliciting practice-based questions and ongoing projects from the membership. Please complete this form to provide us with topics and questions, which will be used as examples and form the basis for discussion at the session.

Questions are welcome from all MLA members regardless of intent to participate in the immersion session.

About EBLIP

"EBLIP provides a sequential, structured process for integrating the best available evidence into making important decisions. The practitioner applies this decision-making process by using the best available evidence while informed by a pragmatic perspective developed from working in the field, critical thinking skills, and an awareness of different research designs, which is further modulated by knowledge of the affected user population’s values or preferences." -- Jon Eldredge
