The SIGnificance (and Future) of SIGs

Are you looking for a way to network with others around a specialized topic or interest during and after MLA ’18? If so, consider joining one or more of the available Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

Often held early in the morning or during lunchtime, SIG meetings allow MLA members to share ideas, challenges, resources, and more. For example:

Under the Proposed Model for MLA Communities, SIGs would convert to Affinity Groups. If you would like to provide feedback on this new structure, you can either attend the Communities Strategic Goal Task Force Meeting on Wednesday morning (5/23) from 7:30 to 8:55 in the International Ballroom North (International Tower, Ballroom Level) or connect with any of the members of the Taskforce via email.

You can easily join a SIG through the Member tab on the MLA website. There is no charge to join, and as a member, you are subscribed to the SIG’s forum.
