Partnerships Are a Vital Part of Librarianship: Let Us Help You Build Them!

If you are a medical librarian in an academic or hospital setting, you know that establishing partnerships and working on joint projects with professionals outside of your library are essential parts of your practice. You know that creating partnerships are a wonderful way to demonstrate the value of your library and to add to your professional network. And you probably also know that it can be a struggle to create and maintain partnerships!

My co-instructor, Kristen DeSanto, AHIP, Health Sciences Library, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus–Aurora, and I invite you to our hands-on workshop in which you will identify ways to overcome barriers to building partnerships, methods to identify potential partners, and strategies to take your partnerships to the next level of collaborative projects. You will leave the course with potential partners identified, an elevator speech that pitches the benefits of working with your library, and an action plan to create partnerships.
